I just received a shipment of Denim Lapis Stones. These stones are 10mm across and are very pretty. They are the cousin to Lapis Lazuli which has a much deeper blue tone and is much more rare. Calcite and sodalite inclusions cause the blue color to lighten and brighten significantly, thus causing the Lapis to acquire its name "Denim Lapis." Because of these inclusions, as with any gemstones, the purity is diluted to some degree, thus making the Denim Lapis affordable.
I plan on creating made to order rings including the Denim Lapis in the design. Look out for
them in my shop in the months to come.
Aren't they pretty?
