We went up north to our farmhouse for the day on Sunday. It was a beautiful day, but with any 150 year old farmhouse comes a lot of work. There is always grass cutting (this is usually my son's job, him and the tractor) a lot of weeding, and everything else that goes along with the age of the home and property. Just down the road is one of my favorite and wonderful home and garden decor stores that I like to visit whenever we go. It is quite a large store and is housed in the original fur trade building of its time. It is a two storey building with several smaller houses out back in the garden that have been transformed into shops as well. What I love about this shop is that they always change up their merchandise with unique goods, so I am always pleasantly surprised with what I find. They also carry a wide range of gift ideas and they carry local artisans works as well.
